Epic dreams are one of the types of dreams, which are also known as cosmic, great, or numinous dreams. In spite of many other dreams, epic dreams are quite huge that people can hardly ignore them: lots of details, which are represented in epic dreams, are remembered for a long period of time.

When a person awakes from an epic dream, he/she discovers that he/she has found something really amazing in this world or discovered an innovation, this world has been looking for such a long period of time. In comparison to other types of dreams, epic dreams have rather concrete characteristics. First of all, they have a plot that is inherent to any epic story. When a person tries to tell his/her epic dream, he/she presents a kind of a story with its characters, settings, and themes. The major point is that the epic dreamer has and remembers the colors of his dream and becomes more and more fascinated with it.

Another significant characteristic of epic dreams is its archetypal material – numerous events, people, and other different symbols, which have a certain connection to everyday life and may influence further development of the events.

So, if a dream helps to look at this life in some other way, it may be considered an epic one. Epic dreams are those, which study a person: new information is stored in a really unforgettable way. To my mind, the dreams of Mendeleyev may serve as one of the brightest examples of the epic dream. This Russian chemist created the most famous periodic table of elements, where he predicted the properties of all elements on our planet. It is said that he created his table while he was dreaming. Such a dream changes not only his life but the lives of many other people. So, any person should be able to distinguish an epic dream in order not to omit a chance to change this life and even improve it.
