It is not easy to spot idealists’ reflections in today’s modern society. Nevertheless, the idealists’ doctrine is reflected based on the interpretation of what modern idealism is. The preservation of peace in the whole can be seen as a reflection of idealism, and in that regard, the foreign policies of many countries can be seen as practices of idealism. It can be argued that the real cause of many peace initiations through foreign policies is related to pragmatism, but nevertheless, the apparent and the stated motives do not make people think otherwise. In that regard, sending troops to help countries that are going through civil wars can be seen as an idealistic approach for “peace in the whole world.”

Another aspect that reflects idealism can be seen through the constant developments in education, where students’ education should cover all aspects of knowledge. Constant discussions on the issues that should be addressed through education and the search for the most efficient method of delivery can be seen as a practice of idealism.

Other practices can be considered reflecting idealism based on personal relationships to such issues. Some religious practices can be seen by some as idealistic, where ideas are put over the material aspects, e.g., some Buddhist practices, sharing with the poor and etc. Additionally, advertisements and commercials can be seen as a reflection of idealism, where they promote perfect products and perfect consumers. Most of the time, commercials represent idealistic situations in idealistic societies, as if pointing the direction to which the real society should be moving, e.g., having a car, buying a beautiful house, having white teeth, a healthy look and etc.
