Introduction

Designing the strategy that will allow for efficient talent management and an adequate use of the recruits’ skills and abilities is an essential requirement for an HR manager in any organization willing to gain recognition in the designated area. However, it is comparatively hard to locate the strategy that will lead to a proper use of the staff’s qualities and, even more importantly, identifying these qualities and promoting their further development. The intricate process demands the adoption of a unique research method that will allow addressing some of the current issues in the contemporary HR practices.

The concept of a study design is typically referred to as the set of tools used for gathering information, its following interpretation, and analysis for the further purposes of deriving essential conclusions. The types of study designs are very numerous and largely dependent on the goals thereof; these include a case study, a cross-sectional design, a cohort one, a descriptive one, an experimental one, a quasi-experimental one, an exploratory one, etc. The adoption of the above study designs implies the retrieval of dichotomous results (Yin 2013), i.e., either the rejection of the null hypothesis, or the proof thereof.

The definitions of a research design are also rather broad and numerous. According to Yin (2013), the concept of a research design can be interpreted as a logical plan that allows finding reasonable solutions to the preexisting set of problems (Yin 2013). While being rather broad, the above definition allows capturing the primary framework for setting the research design, i.e., locating the path that will help the researcher progress from identifying the problem to designing the solution (Schmidt & Cracau 2015).

Objectives of the Study

The study under analysis is aimed primarily at isolating the strategies that talent managers should adopt in the context of culturally diverse entrepreneurship. Herein lies the need to identify the problems that the target members of the company usually have when operating in the environment of culturally diverse organizations, as well as locating the factors that influence talent managers’ choices (Gehrels 2015). To be more exact, both intrinsic (company-related) and extraneous factors need to be identified so that the key impediments to promoting cultural diversity as well as prevent the emergent obstacles on the way to multiculturalism. Moreover, the tools that allow reinforcing the power of the strategies identified in the multicultural setting (Schmidt & Cracau 2015).

Primary Objective

The identification of the talent management strategies that can and should be used to enhance diversity in the environment of multicultural organizations is the key goal of the research paper.

Specific Objectives

To attain the objective described above, one will have to consider several minor goals that are to be reached in the course of the study. To be more exact, the research will aim at:

  • Defining the current talent-management-related problems in the multicultural setting;
  • Evaluating the strategies used currently by organizations operating in the realm of the global economy;
  • Considering the obstacles that stand in the way of promoting multiculturalism and diversity in the current talent management approach;
  • Identifying the factors that promote the adoption of multiculturalism and diversity as the means of improving the talent management strategies in the context of contemporary companies;
  • Considering the ways of improving the existing approaches to talent management and incorporating the principles of multiculturalism so that diversity rates in the target organizations could increase.

Research Questions

The study under analysis will aim primarily at answering the question of how the present-day approaches toward reinforcing the significance of multiculturalism in talent management be improved and how diversity can become the basis of the subject matter (Tench et al. 2012). Speaking of particular approaches the efficacy of which will have to be tested, it will be reasonable to suggest that the study should answer the question concerning the applicability of a combination of egalitarian principles and promotion of employee engagement as the means of introducing change into the setting of the Qatar businesses (Schmidt & Cracau 2015). Thus, the first question that the given research seeks to answer is as follows:

Does the introduction of egalitarian philosophy, enhancement of staff engagement through incentives, and shaping the corporate philosophy will help increase diversity and convince the employees to embrace the concept of multiculturalism in the environment of Qatar companies?

It is assumed that the above strategy is likely to have a positive effect on the process of enhancing multiculturalism and diversity in the context of Qatar companies, therefore, contributing to the development of a more positive environment for the progress of the economy and entrepreneurial activities (Russom 2011). Therefore, the next research question can be put in the following manner:

Does the introduction of the above concept of multiculturalism and the subsequent change in the employees’ behavioral patterns will allow for improving the staff performance and help them accept new roles and responsibilities?

Finally, it is crucial to identify the effort that it will take to promote the specified concepts to the members of the Qatar organizations. In light of the fact that the Qatari business environment can be characterized by the inclination to follow traditions, certain hindrances in the process are expected (Yin 2013). Moreover, it is assumed that the current businesses are not geared towards multiculturalism as the foundation for becoming successful in the designated environment. Thus, the third and the fourth questions that the research seeks to answer are:

  1. How ready are the contemporary Qatar organizations to incorporate the principles of multiculturalism and diversity into their operations?
  2. What steps do the above companies take to enhance multiculturalism and increase diversity rates in the workplace?

Literature review: summary

The transfer from the mono-cultural environment of a particular business community to the area of the global economy with its concept of multiculturalism may be hard for the companies that follow the traditions closely. However, studies show that the introduction of diversity programs allows for increasing chances for the development of a multicultural environment in organizations (Hofhuis, Van Der Zee & Otten, 2012). There are a variety of tools for enhancing the significance of multiculturalism principles in the workplace, including the Parochial Multicultural Management Strategy, the Ethnocentric Multicultural Management Strategy, the Synergistic Multicultural Management Strategy, etc. (Cartledge, Singh, & Gibson 2008). However, what most of them boil down to is that a company has to focus on creating a solid system that will help alter the employees’ behavioral patterns. the given approach is directly opposed to the approach of identifying selected employees and influencing the multiculturalism rates by altering their perception of the subject matter. instead, a good leader must consider changing the mindset of all company members.

Study Participants

The study will include 120 HR managers from 20 Qatar companies.

Participants’ description

Since embracing every single Qatar company is practically impossible, a selected choice of 50 companies will be used to conduct the research. The HR managers from the companies selected for the study will be interviewed so that the analysis of the contemporary strategies used to promote multiculturalism and diversity in the target environment could be identified. The choice of the organizations that will be invited to participate in the study will be based on their profitability in the Qatar market as well as in the realm of the global economy. Specifically, the companies that have been doing comparatively well in the designated environment will be included in the study (Yin 2013).

As far as the area of the entrepreneurship’s operations is concerned, it is assumed that the choice of the firms operating in the area of banking and finances should be viewed as the primarily choice of the research. The reasons for using the above organizations as the key target of the study are quite basic. Banking and finances can be defined as the area that demands to maintain a consistently good contact with all the stakeholders involved, hence the need to locate appropriate communication patterns. The field of banking, in its turn, invites numerous opportunities for an international cooperation with other businesses; therefore, it is imperative that a company dealing with the subject matter should cooperate with the firms represented by the people of different ethnic, national, and cultural backgrounds. Thus, the specified real is perfect for testing the idea regarding the importance of promoting the above strategies as the means to achieve high multiculturalism rates and introduce diversity into the workplace environment, at the same time avoiding cross-cultural conflicts. Qatar will be the location of the companies to be analyzed; it is expected that the forms located in the vicinity of the researcher will be used as the primary target (Shaari et al. 2014).

Tools for recruiting managers

Unfortunately, the target audience viewed as possible study participants are unlikely to be thrilled about participating in the study. The expectations mentioned above can be explained by the fact that no financial incentives will be provided to the target audience, not to mention the fact that the research will require a substantial amount of people’s time. Therefore, a model for attracting the attention of the designated members of the business world will be highly desirable (Collis & Hussey 2014). To attract the attention of popular Qatari companies, one will have to offer the firms publicity. Once published as an academic study, the paper will provide extensive data concerning the organizations under analysis, therefore, serving as an advertisement of some sorts. Therefore, it will be necessary to make it obvious that the analysis will be conducted in the best interests of the research participants. Once realizing that the given offer will provide them with an opportunity to gain the attention of even more people, the target firms are likely to agree to participate (Halinen & Mainela 2013).

Philosophical Paradigm

The phenomenon of a research paradigm is crucial to the development of a research design and the further course of the study. The very concept of a research paradigm is usually defined as the premises for assessing a particular phenomenon or analyzing a certain object. In other words, identifying the phenomenon of a research design is essential to the overall success of the study (Charmaz 2012).

It should be borne in mind, therefore, that the concept of a research paradigm can be approached from several angles and, therefore, interpreted in numerous ways. For instance, Collis and Hussey (2013) suggest that the phenomenon under analysis should be viewed as the “philosophical framework that guides how scientific research should be conducted” (Collis & Hussey 2013, p. 11). In other words, the authors suggest that the philosophical paradigm of a study should concern primarily identifying the guidelines for the study to be done according to. While admittedly reasonable, the above supposition can be deemed as a rather blank statement that needs further specifications.

Others, in their turn, argue that the idea of a research paradigm needs to be viewed through the lens of knowledge management. Particularly, the idea of using a research paradigm as the tool for generating knowledge and interpreting the objective reality from a certain perspective needs to be mentioned as one of the primary goals of a research paradigm, as the existing studies of the subject matter show. Moreover, when viewed through the goggles of reality interpretation process, a research paradigm can be identified as the means of inspiring the process of conducting a study (Hall 2012). The knowledge generated as a result of applying the specified paradigms to certain problems and cases lead to the design of objectivist assumptions concerning the phenomena observed, thus, triggering the further development of a theoretical framework or a strategy that can be applied to similar scenarios to address a unique problem.

While both theories outlined above have the right to exist, one must admit that each of them has obvious flaws. By overlooking the aspects of the former definition that make the concept of a research paradigm applicable to any study setting, one narrows it down, thus making it less substantial. The overgeneralization of the concept under analysis, in its turn, is likely to lead to ambiguity in the research results. Therefore, a coherent approach to locating the research paradigm is required (Halinen & Mainela 2013).

In the setting of the study in question, one may suggest a combination of the consultative and the positivism methods as the research paradigm. Whereas the latter will help make the necessary conclusions based on the evidence acquired in the course of observations, the former is bound to help carry out these observations in the manner that will lead to retrieving objective results. More importantly, the information learned in the course of the above observations will be company-specific, thus, helping mold the strategy that will meet the unique needs of the organizations under analysis, at the same time setting premises for addressing the problems of companies in the Qatar setting, in general (Krishnaswamy, Sivakumar, & Mathirajan 2009).

Research Design Overview

Traditionally, the concept of a research design involves the choice between the qualitative study, the quantitative one, and the mixed approach. However, apart from the above classification, there are several other taxonomies that allow for a more elaborate analysis of the subject matter. Among the rest of the methods of carrying out a study, the approaches such as experimental and semi-experimental ones need to be brought up. While the concept of an experimental approach is comparatively easy to decipher, the semi-experimental one might raise some eyebrows. By definition, the experimental research design involves constructing an experiment in the course of which the author of a study is supposed to prove the research hypothesis either right or wrong. By definition, an experiment implies that every single factor that affects the variable of the researcher’s choice is present in the model created by the author of the study.

Alternatively, the adoption of a semi-experimental research design may be viewed as an option in case a full-fledged experiment cannot be carried out in the designated research setting. The semi-experimental approach, in its turn, is typically referred to as the research design that may take only the crucial factors affecting the dependent variable into account, therefore, leaving the less significant ones outside of the study. Quite understandably, the quasi-experimental design setting does not allow for an accurate evaluation of the weight that each independent variable has on the dependent one, whereas the experimental one offers the above opportunity.

In addition to the methods described above, the concepts of a field test and a grounded theory deserve to be brought up. It should be brought up. However, that the above classification of the research design is primarily attributed to the qualitative studies. Indeed, the concept of the grounded theory, which implies the development of a theoretical framework based o the evidence provided, is traditionally mentioned as one of the most popular types of qualitative research. Nevertheless, as an important tool for locating the patterns in the participants’ responses, the approach implying the development of a grounded theory creates an opportunity to predict the possible routes of the issue development. Speaking of the phenomenon of the grounded theory and its use in a qualitative study, one must mention that it can be used as an iterative tool. In other words the very phenomenon of a grounded theory helps gain insight on the relationship between the independent variables under analysis: “Grounded theory is a systematic method of analysing and collecting data to develop middle-range theories”. (Charmaz 2012, p. 2)

As the definition provided above shows, one should not be fooled by the title of the method. Despite being referred to as the grounded theory and implying that the author of the research should come up with a theoretical premise for explaining a particular phenomenon, the actual discovery of the hidden patterns and the design of the theoretical framework occurs comparatively rarely. Instead, the process of developing a grounded theory allows gaining a deeper insight on the nature of the links between the variables under analysis, therefore, performing the role of a vector that guides the study in the required direction.

Selection of Methodology

Methodology incorporates the set of methods and tools for carrying out a particular study. The current definitions of the subject matter point to the fact that a methodology is primarily used as the means of mapping the further process of conducting a study.

It should be noted, though, that the methodology of a study is not restricted to the choice of a particular approach that seems the most reasonable for answering a specific research question. In other to prove the identified methodology tools as the appropriate ones for the given type of research, one will also have to comment on the rest of the approaches toward the analysis of similar data.

More importantly, methodology permits the classification of the existing research approaches according to the types of researches, the goals that the author of the paper pursues, etc. Herein the need to develop a coherent methodology approach for a specific research lies. Once choosing the method of approaching a specific concern correctly, one is likely to retrieve the expected results and, moreover, gain information regarding the possible follow-up study that can possibly explore the issue under analysis either at a different and a more complex level, or from an entirely different angle, therefore, exposing the issues that have not been known up until now. It should be borne in mind, though, that the decision to adopt a particular research methodology depends heavily on the type of data represented, the research setting, the participants’ characteristics, etc. Therefore, each research methodology is unique and is supposed to address a particular case (Shaari et al. 2014).

Choice of Research Subject

As it has been stressed above, the paper is primarily focused on identifying the specifics of the Qatari entrepreneurial environment and the tools that can be used to promote multiculturalism in the designated area, thus, avoiding numerous conflicts. Therefore, the specifics of communication in the Qatari business setting can be interpreted as the primary research subject that the paper in question is going to explore.

Qualitative and Quantitative Methods

On the surface, the taxonomy of data collection methods is rather simple; split into two key types, the qualitative and the quantitative ones, it implies that the information analysis should be based on the premises that it is viewed from, i.e., whether the information is seen as numerical or qualitative (Gehrels 2015). However, the approach described above is admittedly broad. Herein lies the significance of providing subtypes of qualitative and quantitative methods.

The current study aims primarily at identifying the qualitative relationships between the key variables. In other words, it is desirable that the research should focus on understanding the nature and origin of the relationships between the environment in which Qatari companies operate and the development of multiculturalism in the above organizations. Therefore, the choice of a qualitative research design seems reasonable.

However, one must also bear in mind that the quantification of research outcomes should also be viewed as a necessity. Particularly, the magnitude of the effects that the factors mentioned above have on the further evolution of the Qatari entrepreneurship, in general, and the development of multiculturalism in it, in particular, need to be addressed. For these reasons, the use of a quantitative research design should also be viewed not as an option but as a necessity. The adoption of a quantitative research method will also help come up with an elaborate measurement strategy to consider the risks that the current threats to multiculturalism pose. The existing concept of a quantitative study embraces a variety of measurement tools that can be applied to the research in question.

The above speculations point to the need of adopting a mixed research design. To be more accurate, a combination of a qualitative and a quantitative approach will have to be used as the means of retrieving the necessary data. While the identification of the factors that define the further development of multiculturalism in the Qatari financial entrepreneurship is a necessary step to defining the problems that permeate the environment of the Qatari economy, it is their quantification that allows for the exploration of the strategies available to address the issue.

One must give credit to the efficacy and significance of a qualitative approach as well, though. While it cannot provide the output that it as accurate and easily measurable as the quantitative one, it helps capture the nature and origin of the identified relationships. As a result, the tools for managing the latter can be designed in a manner that is much more efficient and expeditious. According to the existing evidence, a qualitative research offers a plethora of tools that set premises for a detailed analysis of the causes underlying the emergence of a particular problem (Canuto et al. 2013).

The choice made in favor of mixed research is also predetermined by the analysis of the previous studies written on the subject matter. Indeed, a range of papers exploring the issue of multiculturalism and diversity in the workplace setting have adopted a quantitative analysis of the available data (Canuto et al. 2013). For instance, a recent study (Schmidt & Cracau 2015) points to the significance of a quantitative analysis as the means of pinpointing the rates at which the variables under analysis correlate to each other. At the same time, the problem has also been viewed from a quantitative perspective for rather obvious reasons. The fact that most previous studies have explored the subject matter from a strictly qualitative point of view, in its turn, does not indicate that the current study should align with the above tendency. Quite on the contrary, the lack of a quantitative perspective on the issue under analysis shows that the problem could use a quantitative analysis as the means of approaching the concern from a different perspective and exploring other options that the Qatari entrepreneurial environment has in store for its organizations.

Tench et al. (2012), in their turn, point to the fact that a combination of the two approaches is a possibility. According to the authors, it was the combined use of bot qualitative and quantitative data that made the ECOPSI project possible so that both focus groups and a statistical analysis could be used as the means of retrieving the necessary results (Tench et al. 2012). The specified choice is predetermined by the fact that a qualitative study permits a detailed evaluation of the factors that served as the prerequisites of a specific phenomenon (Halinen & Mainela 2013).

Consequently, the root causes of a certain problem can be identified comparatively easily. Coupled with a quantitative analysis of the subject matter, a qualitative study will set the stage for the design of a massive strategy that will address the problem by eliminating the solutions that are intrinsically wrong and shedding light on the issues that would have been left unnoticed otherwise. In light of the above way of looking at the study of the multiculturalism issues in the Qatari organizations, the adoption of a mixed approach seems the most reasonable step to make. Unless the problem is explored from every angle possible, it will be hardly possible to explore the magnitude of the effects that the factors identified in the course of interviews have on the members of the companies. As a result, the development of a flexible strategy that will help manage the emergent issues and address the current problems will be practically impossible, as the problems affecting the development of multiculturalism are far too numerous.

Quantitative Methods

The significance of quantitative methods as the means of testing a particular hypothesis sand identifying the correlation between certain variables can hardly be underrated. As emphasized above, a quantitative study helps locate the specifics of the above relations with high precision rates, which makes it an essential tool in carrying out studies concerning the efficacy of choices made in the business setting.

As opposed to a qualitative study, which only helps locate the presence of a certain link between a specific set of variables, a quantitative method of research will allow for an identification of the adding new dimensions to the study and, more importantly, constructing ubiquitous models that will serve as the devices for a more detailed and profound analysis of the effects that extraneous and intrinsic factors have on the promotion of multiculturalism in the environment of Qatari organizations. For instance, a similar approach was deployed by O’Mahony (2015), who assumed that the adoption of a quantitative approach will serve as the means of deploying the structural equation model to analyze the identified relationships. Therefore, the importance of a quantitative approach for the exploration of the effects that the current HR strategies have on the enhancement of multiculturalism and diversity in the designated setting is immense. Similarly, a study carried out by O’Gorman and Farrington (2015) points to the fact that the use of a quantitative design is crucial to the identification of the dependent variable of the study and the further location of the unit of analysis. The above arguments clearly speak in favor of using a quantitative research design as the foundation for the study.

Herein lies the significance of adopting a quantitative approach along with the qualitative one. By applying the above method to the study analysis, one will be able to design the model that will serve as the framework for locating the appropriate solution to the problem. Without a quantitative analysis of the factors affecting the promotion of multiculturalism in Qatari financial organizations, one will be unable to isolate the ones that affect the subject matter the most in terms of both positive and negative influences. Therefore, a comprehensive evaluation of the existing strategies and the subsequent choice of the one that will create prerequisites for a significant improvement in the designated area is necessary.

Qualitative Research

One must admit that adopting the qualitative study patterns may also help investigate the problem under analysis thoroughly and, therefore, come up with an adequate solution within a comparatively small amount of time.

However, the prime reasons for the current study to focus on the analysis of the qualitative relationships between the target variables are linked directly to the objectives of the study. As it was stated before, the research is focused on the analysis of the current tendencies among the Qatar HR managers regarding the choice of the strategy for improving the performance of the staff and distributing roles and responsibilities among them. More importantly, the research seeks to prove that the current approaches have to be updated so that the process of introducing the Qatari employees of both public and private sectors could be speeded up. The sooner the local entrepreneurship leaders realize the necessity to take the specifics of foreign cultures into account when carrying out business communications, the faster the state economy can be improved. In other words, the study also seeks the means of locating the nature of the relationships under analysis.

It is assumed, therefore, that the introduction of certain elements of a qualitative study into the research will give the paper more depth and insight. As stressed above, the qualitative analysis of the subject matter could shed more light on the origin and nature of the problem regarding the current lack of diversity in the Qatar business environment. A deep analysis of the issue, therefore, could help identify the approaches for eliminating the issue at the heart of the phenomenon. The suggestion above, hence, implies that several elements of a qualitative approach must be incorporated into the research design necessarily.

Research Frame

To address a particular issue, any study must have a clear focus that will help the author manage a certain problem. When approaching the latter from a very specific angle, one is likely to receive a clear and very objective evaluation of the subject matter (Mettler, Eurich, & Winter 2015). Therefore, setting the correct research frame is crucial to the overall success of the project and the retrieval of positive results.

Recent studies point to the fact that the issue regarding the choice of an appropriate strategy for talent management has been brewing for quite long (O’Mahony, 2015). The existing talent management strategies leave much to be desired as far as the means of distributing roles and responsibilities among the staff members, promoting further professional grow, and encouraging successful communication among the members of the organization. The phenomenon above can be attributed to a variety of reasons, the lack of diversity in the current Qatar business setting being the key one. Indeed, the significance of an international corporation and creating strong ties between the companies belonging to different cultures has grown significantly with the creation of the global market. Therefore, for the firms that are guided by the people belonging to

Data Analysis Techniques and Presentation

The process of data analysis is linked directly to the research method chosen for the purposes of carrying out the study as well as the way in which the data was collected. The data retrieved in the course of the study will be analyzed with the help of the ANOVA method. The tool mentioned above is typically viewed as a set of statistical tests aimed at examining the variance rates in the pieces of data provided. Researches define the specified tool as a collection of specific models that are used to identify differences between specific groups of variables.

As the definition provided above shows, the ANOVA technique is traditionally viewed as the most efficient quantitative analysis strategy due to the opportunities that it provides for the analysis of the connection between the variables. The research, in its turn, will require that the standard answers of the participants, including the answers to Yes/No questions and the ones to multiple-choice questions. Consequently, the calculations in the differences between the response provided the HR managers from different organizations will require quantification of the information. The ANOVA test, in its turn, deciphered as the analysis of variance, suits the requirements listed above perfectly as it incorporates a set of tests used to check the variance in the numerical data sets.

Particularly, the adoption of the two-way ANOVA should be viewed as a necessity since the research is focused on two different variables that affect the subject of the analysis. Indeed, a closer look at the subject matter will show that the study is aimed primarily at exploring the effects that the internal and external factors of an organization’s functioning have on the issue of multiculturalism in the Qatari business setting. Seeing that the object of the study is subjected to the impact of two variables simultaneously, it is necessary to carry out a two-way ANOVA; thus, the research outcomes can display the effects that each of the factors identified above has on the issue under analysis (Shaari et al. 2014).

The information provided in the course of the study will also be analyzed with the help of software such as Microsoft Office Excel and SPSS. The latter can be considered an unparalleled tool for carrying out statistical analyses, including the ANOVA statistical analysis; therefore, it is imperative ti incorporate the SPSS software into the study. The use thereof is likely to drive the possibility of making an error in the course of calculations to a minimum, therefore, opening an entire pool of opportunities for researchers to allocate the existing resources and define the interpretation of the analysis results. Although, compared to SPSS, Microsoft Office Excel might seem a comparatively pointless tool, it is not to be underestimated, either, as it serves as a perfect means for arranging the information available and classifying it. Moreover, Excel also helps perform basic calculations, including carrying out the ANOVA test (both one- and two-way ones). Hence, the combination of the two will permit reducing the threat of retrieving a wrong result significantly, making the study outcomes as accurate as possible. Finally, the specified tool is very useful in representing data. Therefore, while the SPSS tool will be adopted as the means of actually analyzing the information retrieved in the course of the study, Excel should be considered an impeccable service for information representation.

As far as the presentation process is concerned, the adoption of the Microsoft PowerPoint software should also be considered a possibility. Although the approach in question cannot be deemed as useful in portraying statistical data and should not be preferred to Excel in the given role, it is unmatched in terms of laying out the data as short statements is concerned. Offering a concise and accurate representation of the research information, it should be viewed as the means of making the study outcomes visible and understandable.

Ethical Issues

The significance of ethical issues in a mixed research is not to be underrated. Apart from adding credibility to the study and, therefore, making the study worth being carried out, the development of an ethical stance allows dealing with the threats to the wellbeing of the study participants and authors. The issue above has gained an especial significance in the era of Big Data. Usually defined as the sets of information that are linked by traceable correlations and revealing information concerning personal life and interactions between people (Nunan & Domenico 2013), Big Data reveals a variety of pieces of information concerning the people involved in the study, thus, jeopardizing the safety of their lives or, at the very least, heir financial wellbeing (e.g., in case of exposing people’s financial data) (Russom 2011). Helping promote and leverage business change, Big Data links every single member of the entrepreneurship in a single system of the firm’s operations, which means that public exposure thereof is likely to lead to deplorable outcomes. Therefore, it is imperative to make certain that the study is based on a solid ethical stance that will prevent the participants from being harmed in any possible way, including the theft of their identity or any personal information.

Similarly, avoiding the possible ethics issues will require making sure that the participants of the study should be fully aware of the fact that the research outcomes will be made available to the public. In other words, they will have to agree to the further use of the information that they will provide as the means of proving the readers that the promotion of multiculturalism in the contemporary Qatari business setting must be attained with the help of a specific set of strategies, primarily, tan elaborate choice of a leadership approach. The goal above can be attained by providing each of the HR managers involved in the study with an opportunity to sign an informed consent claiming that they are not against using the specified information in the research and making it public. Therefore, it will be imperative to send the informed consent forms to the target audience together with the surveys so that they could agree to participate in the study or decline the offer.

In addition, it will be necessary to make sure that no data beyond the one agreed upon in the informed consent statement should be made available to public during or after the research. In other words, the personal information about the participants that will help identify them and pose a threat to their wellbeing is not to be disclosed to the third party under any circumstances. The corresponding ethical principles should be listed in the statement that will have to be created for the purposes of research ethics and integrity.

Validity and Reliability

Speaking of the reliability and validity of the study, one must mention the fact that the questionnaire is going to be piloted first. Thus, the issues that may emerge in the process can be addressed before the research is started. Particularly, the feedback that will be received after the pilot survey as well as the efficacy of the tool in question will be evaluated. The questionnaire will later on be modified based on the information retrieved in the course of piloting it.

The reliability of the research outcomes is going to be very high due to the use of trustworthy academic databases. Particularly, the EBSCOhost database will be viewed as the primary source of research. Seeing that the specified resource is traditionally viewed as containing essential and up-to-date studies, it can be used to locate the studies on the subject matter.

In addition, the year of articles release will also be taken into account. Naturally, the papers that are deemed as foundational and determining the further course of the problem evolution will not be dismissed despite the fact that they are rather old. However, the papers containing the information that has been dated and, thus, can no longer be used for further research will not be included into the analysis. Instead, the articles written over the past five years will be taken into account as the sources that contain the latest information regarding the subject matter. By choosing the studies that are relevant to the issue of multiculturalism and occur on the same time slot that the current study, one is likely to build a strong argument and retrieve relevant data.

Seeing that the study will be based on the review of the sources coming from peer-reviewed journals and scholarly researches, it can be assumed that the study should be deemed as rather reliable. The choice of the literature used for the study defines its credibility and objectivity. The articles and books used in the course of the analysis and throughout the review represent different points of view as opposed to applauding to a single opinion. Consequently, they can be interpreted as the means of attaining a comparatively objective outcome.

Moreover, the fact that the information was reviewed and analyzed with the help of statistical tools should be brought up as an essential characteristic of the paper that will allow enhancing its validity. The tools under analysis will help triangulate the sources of information located in the process of data analysis; as a result, the validity of the study is expected to grow significantly. As Creswell explains, it is essential to “triangulate different data sources of information by examining evidence from the sources and using it to build a coherent justification for themes” (Creswell 2013, p 201). The triangulation approach is, therefore, imperative to maintaining the credibility and validity of the information retrieved for the research. The importance of the above steps can be determined by the rate of convergence of the data sources in question (Creswell 2013, p. 201). The tools mentioned above, therefore, served as the foil for deriving essential information from the survey results obtained.

Benefits to Users and Research Participants

As stated above, it is highly likely that the study will shed light on the quality of the services that the organizations under analysis provide. More importantly, the research will provide a detailed overview of the manner, in which the specified companies function, creating an opportunity for people to take a look at these companies from the inside.

The public exposure that the businesses to be analyzed in the paper are bound to get is very likely to help them attract new customers and, therefore, aim at exploring new markets. The chances of saving for the promotion campaign, therefore, reallocating the existing resources and funding the areas that need support are not to be missed in the current competitive environment of the global market, which the leaders of most organizations understand well enough. With that in mind, it is expected that the companies targeted at will be eager to partake in the study as its primary subjects, thus, providing extensive information concerning the tools used to promote multiculturalism in the workplace environment.

The users are likely to benefit from the study as well, gaining impressive knowledge regarding the current state of affairs concerning the diversity issues in Qatari business units.
