Televisions have become the major communication media used to display different cultural values as well as to inform and educate the public on different topics and issues. A TV screen can be connected to other gadgets to display images as well as to play video games. It is through these screens that people get to know more about the cultural practices of other communities that they have probably never encountered.

There is hence a bigger role that is played by movies and television in displaying culture. The manner in which such culture is displayed depends on the news reporter and the journalist that gathered the information. When the journalist or the presenter has little knowledge about the culture that they are covering, they may be biased and hence not give a clear representation of the culture. For culture to be effectively covered, then both the reporter and the journalist gathering the information should have some knowledge about the culture they are representing.

Electronic games have an impact on culture and media. Despite the fact that it emerged as a result of western civilization and the technological developments that are being experienced, the nature of the games being played has a lot to do with culture. Different cultures have applied a similar technology to display what they believe is culturally sound to them.

You will hence find that video games being invented have a lot to tell about the culture of the person that invented them. Due to the popularity that video games are gaining, it has become necessary for the inventors to come up with different games that would represent different cultures. It is the only alternative that would ensure that those communities that are so conservative about culture are not left behind with the technological developments.

Modern electronic games have not really been perceived positively by different cultures. This is basically because of the attitudes that have been held towards them. Electronic games have deprived people and especially children an opportunity to effectively develop intellectually. Outdoor games are almost becoming a thing of the past as many people resort to indoor electronic games. This has basically led to the emergence of certain ailments that occur due to a lack of physical activity.

The addictive nature of the games has even made it quite difficult for people to stop them despite the various warnings they have received concerning their impacts on health. Due to such challenges, technology is inventing games that will make people be more physically involved to minimize the negative consequences being experienced.
