Child abuse is among the leading challenges that children face at a point in their live, hence, it attract the attention of the world activists and children rights advocates. Child abuse is a serious offence that affects the development of the society, and cause severe psychological and physical problems to children and the entire community (Fowler & Vallett, 2021). Child abuse occur in different dimensions including abuse by parent, friends, peers, guardians, and the community. There are four forms of child abuse including psychological abuse, neglect, physical abuse, and sexual abuse which have different effects on the affected child. In the 21st century, there is a steady rise in child abuse due to poverty, drug abuse, family conflicts and psychological (Yousafzai, 2018). Child abuse requires immediate attention and actions because the effects of on the victim are long lasting and persist up to adulthood. Child abuse is one of the leading challenges at childhood development which requires immediate attention because the effects are severe and can affect the child’s social development at adulthood.

Stopping child abuse requires the action of the parents, guardian and the community who should ensure that children have a conducive environment to grow and develop. For instance, parents have control of the environment that the children grow in and the activities they encounter during their daily activities (Yousafzai, 2018)s. Besides, parents and guardian should understand their children and learn how they perceive different things at specific age because they must have a reasonable and realistic expectation of the children without pushing them beyond their limits. Also, parents should abstain from abuse of drugs that may lead to children abuse and whenever they use any drug they should stay away from the children. in addition, parents and older people should mind their language because words can upset the children and leave emotional scars that are hard to heal (Freeman, 2018). Lastly, parent and guardian should spend more time with their children and try to understand them and if possible, they should bring along someone who understand children to help inn determining their social cues (Fowler & Vallett, 2021). Therefore, there are specific solutions to child abuse that requires the action of the adults and their mature approach when handling the young ones.

Then best approach that helps to alleviate the problem of child abuse is spending time with them and understand them as much as possible. For instance, recently, children spend most of their time at school ad during their holidays their parents are too busy to interact with them which leads to hostility and unnecessary abuse. Therefore, parents should pay attention to their children and try to understand what makes them happy or mad (Yousafzai, 2018). Besides, spending time with the child gives room for character development and boost of self-esteem because you can correct them when they are wrong and appreciate them when they behave well. Also, having enough bonding time helps to build the family ties and increase openness because the child will feel free to communicate whenever they have a problem. Lastly, more bonding time encourages between the child and the parent which can help the child to improve their social and academic skills (Tsranchev, Timonov, & Hadzhieva, 2018). Spending time with children helps to improve the social closeness and reduce abuse because they become free to communicate whenever they face any problem.

There are numerous objections by parents when it comes to the relationship between spending time with their children and the quality development. For instance, majority of the parents argue that they need more time to work to be able to support their children’s growth and quality of life. Statistics indicate that most rebellious children spend less time with their parents and vice versa (Tsranchev, Timonov, & Hadzhieva, 2018). For instance, at school the children who are caught in many disciplinary cases spends less than 5 moths in a year with their parents. However, opponents argue that teachers and tutors are train to provide parental support to their children while they do what they studied for to bring money home (Fowler & Vallett, 2021). In such cases, the parents feel like the teachers have a responsibility to nurture the child’s character while the parent provides the resources and support they need. Thus, there are objections to the idea of spending more time with the children because of specialization of work which leads to division of responsibilities between the teacher and the parent.

Child abuse is one of the leading challenges during the early stages of a child and it requires immediate attention because the effects are severe and can affect the child’s social development at adulthood. As a result, there is a need for action to these problems because it affects the society regardless of social, political, and economic status. For instance, when a child is neglected and becomes a thief, he will steal from all people in the society. Therefore, there are specific solutions to child abuse that requires the action of the adults and their mature approach when handling the young ones. Spending time with children helps to improve the social closeness and reduce abuse because they become free to communicate whenever they face any problem. Therefore, the world should focus on alleviating child abuse because it has adverse effects that derails the economic, social, and political development.
