According to Hobbes, human being ought to avoid the state of nature. He asserts that if one is concerned to avoid violent death, then he should avoid the state of nature. Human have a duty to do what he can to avoid this situation or to end it. Hobbes view was that human have such moral obligation, however, we need to ask ourselves why these obligations, and the reason why they are obligatory. Hobbes observed that an individual can discern some external principles through reasoning to govern their behavior. These principles are laws provided by nature rather than reveal by God. However, Hobbes differ with the protestant especially those who argued that the conscious of religious may endorse defiance of the immoral laws, that is, being disobedient to the laws or rules set by the government.

Hobbes agued that every individual ought to seek for peace as long as he as hope of getting it, however, he may sought and use all helps and advantage of war especially when he cannot obtain peace (Poundstone, William, 1992).This view is important because it stress our right of nature whenever there is no realistic prospect of peace. His second view was that an individual should be willing and ready to lay down his right and be satisfied with freedom against other individual. His second view make it look as if all individuals should give up their right of nature and mutually permit a king who will inform them on what is expected and consequently punish them when they disobeyed.
