Emphasis will be given to the explanation of how cloud computing integrates with CU-IT’s basic business competencies. Also, this paper will be aimed at assessing how cloud computing will facilitate the realization of CU-IT’s future technological goals.
Paper Agenda
This paper is aimed at addressing several issues centered on explaining how cloud computing positions itself in the realization of improved product and service provision for CU-IT services. Evidence will be given to explain why cloud computing is important for CU-IT and why the company needs to adopt it (going forward).
Thesis
This paper proposes the view that, cloud computing is a useful addition to CU-IT services because of its ability to address the future technological needs of the company. This thesis is based on the view that, there are several companies which have already adopted the technology, including government institutions, private organizations and the likes. Its adoption is indeed extensive. However, though there have been various concerns voiced against cloud computing, the advantages of cloud computing seem to overweigh its disadvantages.
Supporting Evidence
Cloud computing offers several advantages to CU-IT services. For instance, with the increased penetration of internet services and the increased use of internet services, several companies have started to see cloud computing as an important factor in sustaining IT development. From this background and the flexibility that cloud computing offers, CU-IT services can be able to carry out various IT-related services using any device, including laptops, mobile devices, or even desktops. Not only will CU-IT services access its service from whatever location, the company’s customers can also do the same. Moreover, cloud computing reduces the operational costs for the company through the facilitation of operational expansion, without including additional costs or licenses to finance the expansion. These are the main factors which have seen the increased adoption of cloud computing among various companies.
Conclusion
Cloud computing will be a useful addition to CU-IT services because of its ability to address the future technological needs of the company. As evidenced in previous sections of this report, there are several companies which have already adopted the technology, including government institutions, private organizations and the likes. Comprehensively, its competency areas make cloud computing to be highly appropriate for CU-IT services. In this regard, cloud computing is the next frontier for CU-IT’s innovation strategy.
