The best social structure that best describes my position in society is a social institution. A social institution has the role of fulfilling a certain function in society. Seeing that I am a father, this is a social institution that shows continuity in the generations that were started by my ancestors. Sexual reproduction is a form of replacing that individual who once existed, and this forms a social institution where my two children replace the ancestors that were in my family, therefore, bringing continuity.

There is another factor that supports the fact that the social institution is what best describes my social position. I am working with children with special needs. This means that I am empowering these people in society because they need to be empowered so that they can seize being the less fortunate members of society. By doing this, I am creating a social institution of handicapped children who will grow to make up a functional part of the society.

Living in a small neighborhood shows that there is a sense of purpose that drives me to be able to settle among different people. By living with these people, we form a social institution where we have a common objective that is to live together in a setting where we observe common moral practices that enable us to live together without conflicts. With our common goal to live together in unity, we form a social institution that is held in cohesion with the fact that we promote peace and unity among ourselves.
