The rapidly increasing population across the world; especially in the United States has led to massive homelessness. In this case, people living in areas that are not primarily set for human residence referred to be homeless have been observed to be increasing year by year in US. More importantly, many people live in temporary situation shelters or intermediary housing facilities; and thus qualifying to be homeless. Perhaps, economic hardships and fragmented social structures have been blamed for the alarming rates of homelessness.
In relation this regard therefore, the youth, the poor, and the disabled among other isolated groups are badly affected by such crisis. In it has been revealed, the victims are at impending risk of losing their residence within short periods with no other place to move to. A point worth noting is that these victims of homelessness may find it difficult to move from this situation due to the many barriers in the road to employment and financial stability.
It should be noted that essential life services like good shelter should be adequately provided to all citizens of a nation. In this perspective, governments should be in the forefront to ensure that all persons are in a position of accessing quality and affordable housing. Importantly, incentives and subsidies should be provided to housing companies so as to ensure that the middle and low class can afford their own houses.
From this discussion, it can be concluded that various social and economic crisis are key causes of homelessness. Based on this case, the government should ensure the poor and the homeless get permanent and quality shelter.
