Industrial growth in America began in the 1800s and continued up to the beginning of the civil war. After the war, it saw significant growth. This development had a significant effect on America with respect to political, social, and economic affairs. As most of the industries were concentrated in cities, many people migrated from rural areas to these cities in search of jobs. This led to the emergence of the development of social classes that comprised either rich or poor people in the cities. There was an increase in population growth in the country as many people moved from other countries to America. Demand for laborers led to children being employed in most industries.

Industrial growth led to the improvement and development of new infrastructural facilities in the country. This stirred the economic growth of the country. Many railway lines were established across the country. This acted as the turning point for economic growth in the country. Mining companies and other industries could use the railway to supply their factories with raw materials as well as transport their finished products to the market. Development in communication led to the invention of new methods of information reliance. As the need for communication among industries intensified, there was the invention of the telephone and telegraphs. This ensured quick and accurate communication between industries. People greatly invested in stocks and corporate bonds. Enormous circulation of money led to the establishment of banks throughout the country. This intensified economic growth by providing finance and advice to people who wished to establish businesses in the country.

During this period, there were a lot of international conflicts. America was fighting for its freedom from the British. There was the establishment of political movements as well as the writing of articles of confederation, which led to the formation of a new state government. The American Congress organized meetings that sought to look for ways of driving the British out of the country. Later America was declared independent, and articles of confederation acted as its first constitution. The extensive process of settling the United States across the country came to an end during the civil war. In 1870 land it became very had for the Indians to acquire land as usual. This forced them to abandon their lifestyle. The Indians attacked the whites’ homes and trains due to the slaughtering of buffalos. For a long time, Indians had relied on buffalo for food.
