The central question,” What interactive experience is shared by transportation and logistics management in mainstreaming global environment concerns?” has characteristics of emerging design and is relatively open-ended.

The same applies to the associated sub-questions thereof. The global rise in atmospheric temperatures stemming from global warming is phenomenal, and this has been associated with the massive releases of greenhouse gasses. Conventional fuel combustion technologies in transportation are among those questioned as to the key polluting agents. Carbon dioxide gas emissions are a key greenhouse gas element. Energy-related activities in the United States of America and China account for one-fifth of greenhouse gas emissions. The quest to reverse adverse impacts of emissions can and/or has been subject to transitional research efforts as no fixed solutions to this phenomenon is insight.

The mixed reactions by environmentalists, with some calling for technological reforms while others being skeptical about the reality of the phenomenal, present a dynamic subject. Thus, studies, in this case, will brace for necessary reformulation and revising of research questions to capture and be in line with the current developments. This means research questions ought to be flexible to allow for revisiting and realignment, a characteristic of qualitative studies vis-à-vis quantitative ones (Family Health International, n.d.). While phrasing the qualitative research questions, ‘what’ and ‘why’ is recommended as the starting words. However, the use of the word ‘how’ for the same purpose is lowly regarded as it has a quantitative inclination.

The introduction of clean energy concepts in transportation operations, among other sectors, to prevent emissions through zero emissions approaches rather than manage pollutants is bringing in new dimensions. This placed squarely on research studies on why is zero-emission is achievable or is it a fallacy as pollution can ideally be prevented at all? Whichever direction is taken by these studies will traverse the influences of logistics management frameworks being applied by the operator. This is why the question of coexistence within an interactive dimension.
