Church members are humans who deal with a variety of complex emotions and social situations. These can bring negative emotions into the church, such as jealousy, betrayal, and anger, which can occur either between parish members or as a result of outside influence. These aspects can create hostility and bitterness in the parish, making the primary purpose of worshipping God and His teachings inherently challenging. While the church is the place to go for help and prayer in times of difficulty, bringing the highly negative and charged spirits to the ministry can greatly affect the experience of others in the interaction with God and among each other. Unpleasant church settings can be a source of concern and distress for Christians.

This can be resolved by preaching unity and collaboration, creating church support groups for those that are struggling emotionally, and allowing time for potential individual discussions with spiritual leaders that can help individuals to manage their negative spirits and deal with the causes in a Christian way. False doctrines and teachings have been a challenging aspect of the church throughout its history. In the modern age, with the prevalence of misinformation and influence on media, false teachings are present but largely ignored. This is wrong since the Bible continually warns about the threat of false prophets and doctrines.

It can be destructive to the church since it creates wrong beliefs and dissent from within. False doctrines are rarely open in deceiving Christians or denying certain aspects of faith but rather take on a subtle approach. This may be through new ways to comprehend the Scriptures or an “innovative” way to preach or pray. The Bible and Christian history are ancient and have been studied by scholars and theologians for years (Greco).

There are foundations of Christianity that are established across all denominations, and while some interpretations may differ, any changes to such understanding are carefully considered and have universal support from church elders. Meanwhile, false doctrines are commonly built upon rapid shifts and some method of attracting the masses. It is important for Christians to remain united, be aware of true Christian teachings, and denounce any “trends” in Christian philosophy that may arise.
